The idea behind my panorama was the feeling of isolation and loneliness even around others. I chose this idea because I can relate to it and I know many others that can relate to this also. Wether it be a random instance where you feel lonely or isolated, everybody has at least once felt either lonely or isolated in their life. This specific scene in my panorama is a recreation of a specific time in my life that I remember feeling isolated and lonely even though I was surrounded by my friends. There was no particular reason that I felt this loneliness, but it is a memory that sticks with me to this day.
To set this panorama up, I got three people to sit at a table in a public place with their food and phones just like they would if they were actually hanging out together. I then had one of the three subjects in my panorama set his body language up so that it appeared like he wasn’t really in the moment, while on the other-hand the two other subjects were engaging in conversation and laughing with each other.
I would like viewers of this panorama to be able to look at each subject and connect to the situation portrayed. I think that at first glance many viewers wont immediately be able to point out the main subjects loneliness, but I am fairly confident that after really looking at the photo and each subject the viewer will be able to distinctly point out the theme of loneliness and isolation within the panorama.
